On October 3, 2009 a very good friend of mine installed 243 braidlocz in my hair.   I have been natural since March 2008.  I had about 4 - 5 inches of good ole nappy hair.  I had human kinky hair extensions braided into my hair.  The extensions are added half way down my braids.  I got the idea from youtube's blkbuttaflies on how to add extensions to sisterlocks.

I know there are some people who would not agree with added extensions but if it helps me along my journey I am going to do me.  I thought about sisterlocks but with the economy being tight and me being an die hard diyer.  I decided to go with braidlocz.

I will keep you updated on how its going.  I am excited about the journey.  I am excited about the personal growth that I will experience getting to know my hair.  Please feel free to stop by my blog.
