to discontinue teaching, to become a housewife.
My brother so eloquently stated: "Ayana, you've been going down. First you were an engineer, then you were a teacher, now you are going to be a housewife." In short, I suck and I can't hold down a job, I know.
Two of my closest friends in college are rocketing through their careers, while every time you turn around I have made a career change. I really do wish that I was the type of person that enjoyed going to work everyday. I wish I liked to wear business suits and high heels and pow-wow with executives. But I don't.
I don't like to 'have' to be somewhere EVERY day. I hate dress codes and predetermined lunch hours. I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it. Is that asking too much? Am I a spoiled brat? Don't answer that.
Anyway, E and I decided that now was a pretty good time for me to leave. We are financially stable and can afford to live off of one income. We'll see how it goes...
